Car hire at Boston Airport

The airport in Boston is called Logan International Airport (airport code: BOS), and it services both international and domestic flights. It is the largest airport in the area of New England, and the 18th largest in the U.S. The airport is at a comfortable distance from the city centre, and getting out to the major roads is smooth and easy.

Car rental at Logan International Airport is very easy. There are a large number of car rental offices. You can find all the offices in the Rental Car Centre (RCC), close to the airport.

The easiest way of getting to the RCC is by taking one of the blue and white shuttle buses. Shuttle buses are available outside all terminals. They are clearly marked out and are free of charge.

Where to go around Boston

Boston is the perfect starting point for a number of nice road trips. From Boston, getting around the state of Massachussetts with all of its history and amazing scenery is easy. Provincetown
Just over two hour’s drive south of Boston, at the tip of the well-known peninsula Cape Cod, is the wonderful city of Provincetown. The city has a large number of beaches, piers and historical landmarks. Provincetown is known for its magical landscape, and the city is especially nice in the summer.

October Mountain State Forest
If you are want for nature experiences like hiking, camping and fishing, a trip to the October Mountain State Forest is the perfect choice. The forest is a little more than a three-hour drive from Boston. Here you’ll find several nice footpaths and camping sites. Furthermore, the Appalachian trail runs through the area, which delivers fantastic views.

Newburyport
If you want to experience a small town with a lot of history and proximity to the great outdoors, Newburyport in northern Massachusetts is for you. The city is right by the ocean, and has a lovely city centre and a beautiful harbour. Plum Island is also in the area, which has amazing scenery and nice footpaths near both sea and beaches. Newbutyport is about an hour’s drive north from Boston.
