Our car rental offices in Barcelona

  • Barcelona Sants Train Station: If you are arriving in Barcelona by train, there are a large number of car rental offices close to the station. You’ll find two offices inside the station house, and two more just across the street on the east side, on Carrer de Virat and Carrer del Rector Triadó.
  • North Barcelona: There are several offices in the more central parts of Barcelona, for example on Corcega, Rambla de Catalunya and at Centre De La Vila. Getting out of the city from these offices is smooth and easy.
  • East Barcelona: Car hire is also available in eastern Barcelona, close to the beach in the Sant Marti district. Find offices on Carrer Pere IV and Pallars. From this part of town, it’s easy to get to the major roads in the area that lead out of Barcelona and on to other places in the city’s surrounding area.

Car hire at Barcelona Airport

All major car hire firms have offices at Barcelona International El-Prat Airport (airport code: BCN). You’ll find the offices in the Arrivals hall, after the baggage reclaim area. You can also rent and pick a car up in central Barcelona at any of the offices mentioned above.

Pay close attention to the extra insurances that the car rental firms often try to sell – they are usually already included.

Where to go around Barcelona

The area around Barcelona is filled with exciting places, all reachable by car.

Costa Brava
The Costa Brava, one of Spain’s most famous tourist destinations, is about 40 miles from Barcelona. It’s a coastal region that stretches over several different cities, with gorgeous scenery and long beaches as well as interesting cultural sights. Some of the most famous and interesting towns of the Costa Brava are Roses, Blanes, Torroella-l’Estartit and Lloret de Mar – perfect for a road trip.

The historic city of Lleida is also within driving distance from Barcelona. Lleida is one of the oldest cities in the region, and is known for its many churches.

Serra del Montsec
The area north of Barcelona is a very beautiful and mountainous area. The nature reserve and mountain Serra del Montsec, which is close to Lleida, has breathtaking views.

If you go even further north you’ll reach the Pyrenees. A trip to Andorra, located in the eastern Pyrenees, only takes two and a half hours by car from Barcelona.
