Our car rental offices in Alicante
Car hire is available at several places in Alicante. Renting a car is the perfect way of discovering both the city and its surrounding area.
- Alicante railway station: If you are arriving in Alicante by train, there are a number of car rental offices within walking distance from the station. You’ll find six offices on Avenida Salamanca, in direct connection to the railway station. There are two more offices on Carrer Bono Guarner. Across from the station, on Avenida De La Estación, you’ll also find two more.
Getting from the station to different parts of Alicante is smooth and easy. It’s also easy to get to the major road N-332, which leads to many nice places in the area surrounding Alicante.
- Alicante harbour: Alicante is known for its beautiful and popular harbour. Car hire is available at the harbour, more specifically at the car rental office on Plaza De La Puerta. This office is adjacent to the N-332, which is one of the major roads in the area. Getting out of Alicante from the office and the harbour is therefore easy and convenient.
Car hire at Alicante Airport
Alicante Airport, also known as the Alicante-Elche Airport (airport code: ALC), is six miles south of central Alicante. It is the largest and busiest airport in the area, and it services many international flights.
Where to go around Alicante
El Maigmó
The mountain El Maigmó is just over an hour’s drive northwest of Alicante. Here you’ll find breathtaking scenery. The area is also great for hiking, with trails that are suitable for the whole family. One of the hiking trails runs along a disused, overgrown railroad track.
Orihuela
If you drive a little over an hour south of Alicante, you’ll reach the cosy city of Orihuela. The city is characterized by its many historic buildings, including a Gothic Cathedral with works made by the famous painter Velazquez. There are also several nice museums around the city.
Torrevieja
The salt lakes of Torrevieja is one of the most spectacular destinations around Alicante. The lakes really are an amazing experience, and a beautiful sight as one of them is pink and the other green. Torrevieja also has many historic buildings and historic sites, and it’s located between the two salt lakes and the ocean. The drive from Alicante takes about an hour.
