Our car rental offices on Rhodes
- North Rhodes: The best car hire possibilities on Rhodes are on the north part of the island. In the towns of Ialysos, Rhodes and Faliraki, you’ll find a large number of car rental offices. Ialysos is close to Rhodes airport, and there are four offices located in the town centre on Iraklidon Avenue. Slightly north of Ialysos, on the island’s northern tip, is the city of Rhodes, the largest town on the island. Here you’ll find a car rental office by Grand Hotel on Akti Miaouli Street. This office is very close to the beach, and getting from this office to the other parts of the city and the island is easy and convenient. Car hire is also available south of Rhodes town, in Faliraki. There is a car rental office on Pigon Avenue.
- East Rhodes: There are also car rental possibilities in the eastern parts of Rhodes, in the towns Lindos and Lardos. In Lindos, you’ll find an office right by the beach. In Lardos there is an office on Lardou Peukis, which is in the most central parts of town.
Car hire at Rhodes airport
Rhodes International Airport Diagoras (airport code: RHO) is on the northwest part of the island, approximately 10 miles from Rhodes town. Getting from the airport to the different parts of the island is very easy. Because of this, renting your car at the airport is convenient.
You’ll find seven car rental offices at the airport. They are all located by the Arrivals hall and, therefore, very easy to find.
What to do on Rhodes
Rhodes is a relatively small island, but it still has many amazing places that are accessible by car. With a rental car, you’ll be able to get the most out of the island’s fantastic nature and history. Below we’ll mention some of our favourite spots.
On the west side of Rhodes, about 45 miles from Rhodes town, lies the cozy little town of Monolithos. Just outside the city centre, you’ll find the famous castle with the same name as the town. The castle is beautifully situated on a hill, and it gives you breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding area.
If you are looking for nice beaches, sun and sea but want to avoid the charter areas, we recommend a visit to Kolymbia. Kolymbia is a small community located on the island’s eastern coast, a little over 12 miles south of Rhodes town. Here you’ll get a mix of beautiful beaches and breathtaking nature. There are also a few nature sites in the immediate vicinity of the town worth a visit!
The town of Vati is a real gem on the southeastern part of the island, just over 4 miles from Rhodes town. In Vati, you can enjoy both nature and history. It’s the perfect destination if you want to escape the beach for a day and wander around the cozy town centre. Furthermore, the city is somewhat hidden in a woody mountain area, and you’ll find many beautiful hiking trails.
