Our car rental offices in Sydney
Sydney is located north of Melbourne and south of Brisbane, on the east coast of Australia. Renting a car in Sydney is both easy and convenient. There are a number of offices in the city, all of which have a wide selection of rental cars.
- Central Sydney: There are six car rental offices in the most central parts of Sydney. Three of them you’ll find on William Street, close to Hyde park and the Australian Museum. Slightly east of these offices, on the same street as Darlinghurst King’s Cross, are the other three. William Street is one of the major roads going through Sydney, and getting from these offices out of the city or to other city districts is easy.
- Sydney Central railway station: Car hire is also available att offices within walking distance from Sydney Central railway station. One office is located on George Street, by Mercure Hotel, which is connected to the A22 and A36 roads. These roads conveniently get you out of central Sydney quickly.
- Darling Harbour: In the northern parts of Sydney, by the harbour area Darling Harbour, you’ll find a car rental office on Harris Street. Driving to and from this office is convenient, and the nearby Anzac Bridge gets you out of central Sydney.
- Wynyard: Car hire is also available east of Darling Harbour in the harbour area Wynyard. You’ll find the office on York Street.
Car hire at Sydney airport
Sydney International Airport (airport code: SYD) is located a little less than 10 km south of central Sydney. This airport is the biggest one in the area and it services both international and domestic flights. Furthermore, the airport is linked to an extensive road network. This makes getting to and from the airport both easy and convenient whether you are driving into central Sydney or heading to other parts of the state.
There are seven car rental offices at Sydney airport, all of which are found in the Arrivals terminal. It is well sign posted and easy to locate.
Where to go around Sydney
Sydney is the capital of the Australian state of New South Wales, which has some amazingly scenic landscapes. Using Sydney as a starting point, there are many nice destinations in the area that are reachable by car. Below we’ll mention some of our favourites.
Blue Mountains National Park
Seven miles west of central Sydney lies the Blue Mountains National Park, which is one of the most famous and popular national parks in the area. In Blue Mountains you’ll get gorgeous views of breathtaking landscape, plateus, and the well-known rock formation the Three Sisters. There are also several nice hiking trails and some fantastic view points.
A little over two hours north of Sydney is the beautiful Anna Bay. Here you’ll find long stretches of sand dunes, excellent for soaking up some sunlight and getting great views. Additionally, you can try outdoor activities such as kayaking and sandsurfing. Anna Bay, moreover, has a very cosy city centre with nice little shops and restaurants.
Just over three hours west of Sydney’s central parts, on the outskirts of Kanagra-Boyd National Park, are the peerless Wombeyan Caves. These caves were naturally created by marble stone, and there are a number of them in varying sizes. Seeing the caves is an exciting experience like no other. The area also has several other nice attractions as well as some gorgeous views.
